Neueda has welcomed 16 promising graduates into its first Tech Academy, an alternative route into an IT career specifically designed for non-computer science graduates. Neueda Tech Academy students, with degrees across a wide spectrum of disciples including architecture, education and business, have a common goal – to retrain, upskill and pursue a successful career within IT.
The participants, who have been selected from over 160 applications, are embarking on an intensive 12-week training programme designed by Neueda and delivered at Belfast Met, E3 campus in partnership with the Department for the Economy. The programme covers both the technical and non-technical skills required for the candidates to forge a successful career in today’s IT sector with Neueda. Delivered in conjunction with Neueda’s senior developers with a wealth of global IT projects experience, Tech Academy participants will also learn from and be mentored by some of the best software engineers in Northern Ireland.
On successful completion of the Neueda Tech Academy, graduates will have the opportunity to apply for full-time roles with the company and immediately start delivering as part of the Neueda team.
Welcoming the group, Paddy O’Hagan, Chief Operating Officer, Neueda said:
“We are delighted to welcome 16 extremely talented graduates to our first ever Tech Academy. The group comes from a diverse range of backgrounds, from those who have completed IT courses, right though to people who have studied and worked in architecture, business and education. Technical skills are something we can teach - it’s the talent and potential that we are most interested in.”
“The programme is an exciting opportunity for both Neueda and the participants. It gives us access to some of the brightest talent in the industry and provides them with an invaluable learning and development opportunity. On completion of the programme there is the potential of full-time employment and a new career in the tech industry in Northern Ireland. We’re looking forward to working closely with each of them over the next 3 months and helping them to kick-start a career with us.”
