At Neueda, we’re committed to the ongoing development of our team. Today we hear from Senior Delivery Manager, Carly McClintock, who tells us about her incredible career journey at Neueda and the varied roles that she has had along the way.

The Beginning

I joined Neueda in 2015 as employee number 36, so given that we now have over 200 employees, it’s clear how far we’ve come! The company is ambitious and fast-growing, and I knew I could play a crucial role in this growth. I joined the company as a Qlikview Developer and enjoyed collaboration with our customers and stakeholders in our Enterprise Services business.

Making My Move

I was then invited to help management move to a cloud-based Professional Services Automation Platform. It was this project that enabled me to learn new skills. I had direct access to senior management, who were happy to hear my ideas and provide valuable feedback.

With these new skills, I was able to transition to a Scrum Master role in our Capital Markets business where I learned more about the industry and the challenges they face. I was recently promoted to Senior Delivery Manager in this division of Neueda, a diverse role involving business development, sales and overseeing multiple delivery teams serving global investment banks, hedgefunds and brokerages.

Going International

As well as visiting London once a month, I’ve worked on several major overseas projects for Neueda. Our Malaga office, which works in unison with our Belfast Software Delivery Centre, has 16 members of staff, and we’re now in the process of doubling our footprint there. I love to travel and there are plenty of opportunities here to both travel and to develop your career. This makes it an exciting place to work.

Opportunity to Grow

You can progress your career quickly at Neueda. I put this down to the autonomy we’re awarded, coupled with the ability to work closely with senior managers to receive regular support and feedback. Also, if you need it, you’ll be appointed a mentor to help you get where you want to be faster.

Our structure is very flat, which means if you have the skill and the will, you’ll go far.

Going the Extra Mile

One of the things I love about Neueda is our collective commitment to Giving Back initiatives. We do a lot of work for Habitat for Humanity in Malawi, an initiative that strives to enhance the resilience of families living in flood-prone areas by enabling them to have permanent and durable homes.

So far, we’ve made two trips with around a dozen Neueda volunteers each time, built four houses for vulnerable families and have plans for to head back again in 2020.

Getting Social

We have an amazing social committee at Neueda which I’ve had the privilege of chairing. We arrange three events for the company each quarter. The whole team can submit their ideas and vote on the types of events we go on, which have included rock climbing, go-karting, bowling, and pub quizzes.

Neueda is so much more than a company; it’s a proud community.
