Project Title: Business Protection & IT Compliance Program
Value: Aviva are the largest provider of insurance in the UK and fifth largest worldwide. IT systems form the core of their business, allowing them to offer new products and increased functionality to their customers. They are also subject to a range of regulatory & compliance standards to help ensure customers achieve a fair deal.
Objective: Neueda were engaged to implement a comprehensive compliance program to ensure that all of Aviva’s processes, procedures and IT systems met the standards defined in their corporate policies.
We also undertook a major project to implement and audit a suite of business protection processes covering the critical areas: business continuity, disaster recovery and information security.
Solution: Coupled with our extensive knowledge of Aviva systems and processes we followed our proven 3-step approach to compliance programs
1. Fast-Track Gap Analysis which formed the basis of a remediation plan, documenting the work needed to achieve compliance of all IT processes and Business Protection processes.
2. Project management & execution of the remediation plan to ensure compliance against the corporate policies.
3. Compliance testing & audit of the various applications, systems, processes and controls prior to the external audit and remediation of issues highlighted during the external audit.
We provided a team of project managers, compliance specialists and test professionals to work alongside Aviva’s IT and business teams and our training specialists came on-site to deliver reskilling workshops for Aviva staff on the new controls, policies & procedures.
